My name is Santiago Serrano and I am from Bucaramanga, Colombia. Spanish is my mother tongue, although, I speak English at an intermediate level as well. By profession, I’m an accounting assistant, but I love to teach. I loved teaching since I was a child so I am accustomed to it. I love art, painting, photography, poetry and music.

As a teacher, I want to help my students learn and understand Spanish. I believe that with my help, they can grow to love what they are learning. I am adaptable, so I will use different teaching techniques and find one that best suits you. Music is an essential tool that I use to help my students learn Spanish. By analyzing songs, not only will you develop a good vocabulary, you will also learn how to properly spell words and use grammar efficiently. When necessary, I will provide additional information that will help you review the topics found in the lesson. Santiago is a great teacher, I really appreciate his style. We practice a lot of conversation skills as we move through his planned lessons, which for me in particular, include a lot of listening comprehension. I feel comfortable to ask him any thing, no matter how small the topic.
Santiago is very patient and a super nice guy. He’s very good at explaining things, while keeping it in Spanish as to reinforce the listening skills. I highly recommend him as a professor. You won’t be disappointed.
