Hello, my name is Álvaro and I live in Spain. I'm a certified Spanish teacher, I started teaching Spanish in 2016 and I haven't stopped since then. It's one of my passions. I'm an electronic engineer and at the age of 17 I started to play basketball professionally in Spain. Until the age of 21, when I couldn't study and play at the same time. I'm patient, I speak with a clear accent and I will repeat anything you don't understand as many times as are necessary. I care about making my students talk since the very begining. Speaking is the most important part when learning a language in my opinion, and that's the way I teach. There is a lot of practice and conversation in my classes. Always adapted to your level and needs. I use an online document, you won't need anything, I'll provide you with everything necessary. In this online doc you will be able to see our lessons and after each one you will find exercises in order to practice. In addition of that, I find useless teaching vocabulary out of the blue, memorizing words that you might not use is pointless. I prefer to create the need of using a specific vocabulary and once you need it, you ask me, I let you know how it is, I show you these words in the document and also I gather them in a spreadsheet that has a translator. Álvaro is an excellent Spanish teacher. He is skilled at finding exactly how to challenge me without making me feel too overwhelmed. He also has a very organized system for his lessons and conversation exercises. I’m really looking forward to future lessons with him!

Another lesson with Alvaro, and the lesson was outstanding, both helpful and interactive. Alvaro is an exceptionally professional teacher with a wealth of knowledge. He unveiled many nuanced insights about Español that aren't immediately obvious. Talking with Alvaro is both enlightening and enjoyable. I truly appreciated the level and quality of attention he provided. I had specific goals for this session, and Alvaro tailored the lesson to match them perfectly. His adaptability is truly commendable! I highly recommend Alvaro!
