*I am a native English speaker from New York City. I specialize in teaching Russian and Chinese speakers how to communicate effectively in English by improving your pronunciation, intonation and fluency. As a TEFL certified teacher, I look forward to the challenge of teaching English particularly to Russian and Chinese speakers. I understand how important it is to perfect your English speaking skills rather than only writing and grammar learning. I will teach in English only and encourage you to speak as much English as you possibly can at all times. I will ask questions and give information, but I will limit the amount of time that I speak so that you are able to take full advantage of our time together speaking English! My lessons are adapted to suit small groups or individualized to teach students one-on-one. I will consider your English speaking level and base lessons off of that taking your age, experience, goals and abilities into consideration. It was my first lesson on Italki. Lori is really friendly and open person. We have discussed my study goals and then Lori explained her teaching methodology and gave me some recommendations regarding study and language practice. In general, I got a positive experience from the trial lesson.
