Ciao a tutti! I'm Marina and I'm Italian. I love teaching and meeting people from all over the world!
I see language learning as one of the best means to learn more about other cultures, to expand one’s knowledge and unlock new part of the world, to view current events and global issues from other points of view, not to mention that the language learning process per se can be extremely captivating and exciting.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
During our conversation classes, you will be able to put your speaking abilities into practice. We can either have a spontaneous conversation or we can decide in advance one or more topics to talk about, I'll always come prepared. Also, you can submit texts, exercises and things you already prepared and I’ll give you feedback.
If you're booking a General Italian class, we will use different kind of materials and I'll help you speaking as soon as possible while building your grammar and vocabulary knowledge.
Please, if you’re booking your first session, send me a message to tell me a little bit about yourself, your Italian level and language goals, so that I can prepare better. Thank you!
This was my first session with Marina. She had prepared various materials to evaluate my Italian. After reading each paragraph, she asked me several questions about them in Italian.
Marina noted down all the phrases or words that I didn’t know or mistakenly said. She was very attentive, encouraging, and patient.
I highly recommend Marina to all students who are serious about learning Italian.
Thank you very much for her time and attention. Ci vediamo presto, Marina!

Today's lesson went very well as usual.
At the beginning of the lesson, Marina introduced the 2024 European Parliament election, and we talked about the current political tendency in Europe and East Asia. From there, our topic moved on to the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship (Il campionato europeo di calcio 2024), which I am very interested in.
As a grammar point, we continued to practice reflexive verbs (i verbi riflessivi). Marina also explained some idiomatic phrases such as 'iniziare a + infinitive verb', 'fare colazione', 'non avere senso', and 'non + verb + mai'.
As always, Marina was very attentive, encouraging, and patient! I really appreciate her time and attention. Grazie mille, Marina! Ci vediamo presto :)

Marina and I had a wonderful lesson as usual!
Today's session started off with a small talk about glasses and contact lens. Marina introduced various useful words related to glasses and contacts such as good/bad vision, precision, prices and others.
Then, we moved on to the topic about EURO 2024. We especially talked about the extreme fans called ultras.
In addition, in response to Marina's question, we talked about the most difficult language for Japanese and Korean speakers.
She wrapped up this lesson with adjectives. We went over many words and their usages as well.
Marina was very engaging and patient as always. I would appreciate her attention and time. Grazie mille Marina! Ci vediamo presto :)

I had a wonderful session as usual.
Today's lesson started off with a conversation about my recent update. From there, we talked about the music culture in Italy and Korea. Marina introduced me to great Italian musicians such as Måneskin and Fabrizio de André. Additionally, we discussed the differences between 'Parmigiana di Melanzane' and 'Lasagna'. Such a fun topic!
We also talked about when and how people have dinner in Italy. Marina explained it to me in detail with various examples, and it was quite different from East Asian culinary cultures.
As always, Marina was very attentive, encouraging, and patient. I really appreciate her attention and teaching! Grazie mille, Marina. Ci vediamo presto.
