Hi everyone! This is a safe LGBTQIA+ space. I'm a transgender non-binary person (they/them). I love this job! And I’m grateful for all the students I’ve met. I speak foreign languages on a daily basis and from this practice I gain a better understanding of my students’ experience. I love getting to know people who live different lives from mine, so be prepared to receive lots of curious, friendly questions!

Reading a lot during childhood helped me develop a great taste for the italian language and its infinite nuances. Students appreciate my clear and neutral accent. Are you intermediate level? Lessons with me will definitely empower you to navigate new scenarios. Are you advanced? We can engage in delightful conversations while perfecting phonetics and vocabulary to your liking.

*NEW STUDENTS: PLEASE BOOK A 30' TRIAL LESSON* I offer conversational classes only. You must have a minimum foundation of the language in order to approach a conversation. Don’t worry though: we’ll start small! Students tend to perceive me as welcoming, laid-back and patient. I value your opinion very very much, and I'll use the tools that resonate with you the most to make sure you enjoy learning. I like to maintain an open environment at all times: feedback and requests are always welcome.

As always, it was a real pleasure to talk with Elias. It cannot be easy listening to my Italian but they help me say what I want to say and show me that I can make myself understood. They are a very confidence-building teacher and it is really enjoyable working with them.

I have had 3 amazing sessions with Sonai and deeply appreciate the support so far on this language (and life!) learning journey. I normally have so much nervousness in speaking but Sonai has a way of connecting where I don't feel afraid to make mistakes and somehow they seem to understand and the conversation keeps going. It is really great and feels a little miraculous :D. I have left each session feeling more confident and excited in the possibilities to come. Thank you so much for the support Sonai!
