I am 31 years old, Canadian, and I am from Toronto. I speak English fluently and have an intermediate level of French. I am quite interested in languages and the process of learning languages. I like sports, nature, history, culture, food, and a wide variety of things.
I wish for learning to be fun.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I am a patient person and will listen attentively. I am also very talkative and can converse about many different subjects. Simply respect me and I will do the same.
Generally, I think that I can help most people improve their English, however I think that people at the intermediate skill level and above would be the best fit for what I do. Around a B1 and above. I think I could help some people at an A2 level but, I think that depends on the student.
I think someone who is a complete beginner or even a beginner, should try to find a professional teacher on Italki and I will recommend other teachers on Italki to people if I feel that our lessons together would not be a good fit.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
Conversing is the essence of what I do on italki, and teaching through that. I am here to speak to you and give you how I would speak the language in a colloquial or formal way. I address tone, context, pretext, nuance, situations, and slang. What I am trying to do is demonstrate the different ways in which people speak English, and help you learn how to engage your mind in English thought.
I interrupt from time to time with corrections, substitutions of words, or demonstrations of proper use of words to help people speak correctly and efficiently.
I think that regardless of what language anyone is learning they need to engage and use it. I think I am quite good at helping people do this.
