Hi everyone! I'm Yurika. I'm from Nagasaki, Japan🇯🇵
I love traveling and living in other countries. I love meeting new people and getting to know different cultures. I've studied in the US when I was in my university, so I can speak in English as well. I studied American Military History in my university. Later I have worked as an international air freight forwarder for two years. I've been to USA, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, UK, Spain, Germany, Mexico etc. I'm currently learning Spanish. Let's have fun studying Japanese together!

I have experience teaching Japanese to my Mexican friend and I love it so mush, so I started italki. Since I've learned English, I know how hard it is to learn other language. I offer Japanese lesson and free talk lesson. I'm very relaxed and patient. In Japanese lesson, you can tell me what you would like to learn with me like grammar, conversation and anything. I can make a lesson based on your needs. Students with any levels can take this lessons. In free talk lesson, you can have conversation in Japanese with me. If you have some topics you want to talk about, please let me know, and if not, we can have free talk or I will give you a topic. See you in my lesson:)

I have been taking classes with Yurika for a while now and I’ve enjoyed every single lesson with her. As a teacher, Yurika is energetic, patient, and incredibly sweet, always making sure I understand what she is saying and giving me plenty of opportunities to speak and express myself - always willing to help me create correct sentences if I’m challenging myself beyond the level of Japanese I am comfortable with.
If I have a specific grammar point that I want to delve into, Yurika will prepare a lesson tailored towards that specific request. In case I don’t have any requests myself, she has plenty of ideas of what grammar and vocabulary I should learn next, always making sure to challenge me without going uncomfortably above my level. I always leave her lessons feeling like I’ve learned something new while having a lot of fun.
She speaks English well and can explain both vocabulary and grammar in English, when I do not understand the Japanese explanation.

Yamaguchi Sensei is the best Japanese teacher on italki! She's been teaching me Japanese for almost a year. I just got back from my first trip to Japan and was able to see the results of her teaching first hand. It made such a difference being able to communicate with locals while traveling the country! Now she is helping me prepare to write the JLPT N5 in December. Can't imagine learning Japanese without her! 本当にありがとうございます！！！

Today was my first lesson with Yurika-san and I'm thrilled to bits! :) Even though I'm a beginner, I felt very relaxed during the lesson; we talked a lot, moreover, Yurika covered some grammar and vocabulary points and explained it to me very clearly. She is a very kind and cheerful person, and I'm going to continue having lessons with her :)
