Ira

It was a pleasure having a class with Ira again. She speaks clearly and explains things well and writes helpful notes. Great teacher.

Ira motivates me to be successful in Indonesia. I have studied Thai before and have one thing I can say I about both Southeast Asian people that they have in common is that they are both very kind!

After a gestation period (hard work and little "obvious" progress I am really feeling good about my Indonesian progress. I knew it would come, I didn't know when. It's an incredible feeling to start to get good in a new language. In the past few days I saw a couple of terrific new movies in Cantonese (a language I love) and it was a terrific experience. I feel blessed to be gain access to the Cantonese speaking world and I look forward to a similar experience with Indonesian. Ira is such a good teacher and so patient I feel similarly blessed to have her help.

I have made a lot of progress this week. 3-4 hours of class and about the same of self study. Going forward I will be able to do more things and class may stay 3-4 hours but self study will rise.

Ira is terrific. So patient. She is a important contributor to my eventual success.
