My Name is David and I am from England.
I have been living in Asia and teaching English here for over twenty years.
I write short, illustrated fiction stories and I also teach meditation for relaxation.
I am a warm and friendly person and love meeting new people.
I love swimming and warm weather – probably why I do not live in England!
Ich als Lehrkraft
More than anything I love helping students build their confidence.
I also love finding the best way to help each individual student based on their needs.
I believe that anyone can make good steady progress with the right approach.
And, more than anything, I believe that the learning process should be highly enjoyable.
Over my more than twenty years’ teaching English I have taught all ages and levels of students. I have even written some courses. I have taught all areas extensively – from grammar to conversation, and from pronunciation to vocabulary building.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
My teaching style is quite relaxed and friendly. As I tend to focus on elementary to intermediate students, there is a lot of emphasis in building confidence and really helping students enjoy the learning process, and have fun too!
Though the main focus of the class might be conversation based, any other areas – be it grammar, pronunciation or vocabulary – can be easily addressed and tailored to fit the needs of each student.
I have lots of speaking activities and exercises that can be used to practice various points and really help students develop their skills and confidence.
The overall direction and aim of my classes is largely determined by the needs and level of the student.
