Hi! My name is Boris and I can help you improve your Slovak language. I have a passion for languages and helping people achieve their language goals. I believe that learning a language should be fun and interesting, so I prefer to tailor my lessons to the interests of my students.
I was born and raised in Slovakia, where I studied fine arts and design. I also studied fine art in Dublin, Ireland. Currently, I'm studying translation at a university in Trnava, Slovakia.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I have been teaching Slovak online since 2021 full-time. I focus on teaching adults, but also have experience with teaching schoolchildren (12+). Before teaching Slovak, I have been teaching group English classes for language schools and business English at different companies.
If you're interested and would like to know more, book a trial lesson with me, so we can talk about your goals, expectations and how to best tailor the lessons for you.
If you'd like to book a lesson outside my available schedule, please, send me a message, and I'll see if we can agree on a time.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
We can have general Slovak classes or conversational lessons. I'm patient with my students and like to pace our lessons to their speed. My classes usually focus on communication so that my students can speak Slovak fluently and confidently, but also other aspects like grammar or building up vocabulary. With beginners, we usually work with a textbook and focus on elementary conversation and basic grammar and vocabulary.
For intermediate or advanced students, I listen to what they need and tailor my lessons - we can work with a textbook, or focus on communication and discuss various topics, or take a more analytical approach and maybe focus on grammar.
