I grew up bilingual in Italian-speaking Switzerland, speaking German at home with a German mother and Italian at school. I also speak French fluently and have good skills in English and currently learning Swedish. With over 20 years of experience in teaching German, I have worked passionately in schools in Switzerland and have recently decided to explore new learning environments by focusing on online teaching, primarily for adults. My education includes a master's degree in foreign languages and literatures, as well as a bachelor's degree in psychology, which I recently completed. I am generally seen as a calm, positive, and open person, which as a teacher is usually appreciated by my students because it allows me to be patient and encouraging. Learning necessarily involves trial and error, so it is important to provide all students with a quiet space for experimentation without judgment. My bilingualism is also often appreciated by my students, as it helps me better understand the challenges of language learning, since my two native languages differ significantly in pronunciation and at least partially in grammar.Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
Since I grew up with a German-speaking (not a Swiss German-speaking) mother, I only teach Standard German and not Swiss German. My teaching style includes structured lessons with textbooks as well as supplementary materials such as readings and videos to develop all language skills: writing, reading, listening comprehension, and conversation. Considering everyone's individual peculiarities, I consider it very important to adapt the teaching style to each individual's needs.5.0
