Hej!
My name is Caroline and I’m a small-town Swede currently living in NYC with my American husband. I would describe myself as an open, upbeat and easygoing person who loves to laugh and learn new things. My favorite thing to do is wandering around Manhattan for hours or guzzling coffee in some café while reading, writing or just people-watching. Other interests of mine are film, music, food, culture, literature, health and fitness.Ich als Lehrkraft
As a teacher I am friendly, energetic, creative, warm and patient. It is very important for me to create a learning environment that feels safe – where there’s no anxiety or embarrassment over making mistakes and expressing yourself imperfectly. As someone who’s spent a lot of time learning languages I have a very clear understanding of the learner/non-native speaker perspective.
The importance of fun is also key to my teaching style. This means a relaxed and easygoing classroom where we use the the methods and materials that are the most engaging and interesting to you personally, whether that means newspaper articles, textbooks, song lyrics or podcasts.Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I will structure our lessons according to your needs, goals and preferences as a learner, which we will go over during our first meeting. Among the activities we could include in our lessons are: working with textbooks, discussing articles, videos or podcasts, role-playing, games, customized exercises centered around some specific aspect of pronunciation/grammar/vocabulary/etc. Another lesson style would be to simply talk informally about any topic to practice your speaking more generally.
At this time I do not teach complete beginners or offer beginner's courses in Swedish. In order to benefit from my classes you should be able to hold a basic conversation in Swedish (level A2 or higher).Mein Unterrichtsmaterial
