Sardinian born, but a citizen of the world: I have lived in four countries and visited over a dozen. My passion for learning languages started at a young age; soon I thought I could become an English teacher, spreading the language bug around, sharing my tips and strategies for achieving fluency, and most importantly helping students interact with native speakers. I also speak Italian, French and Portuguese (much better than in the presentation video, I promise! It was stage fright that caught me there!) and studied other languages in the past. I'm patient, quite relaxed, and although I may seem serious at the beginning, you'll soon discover my fun side. I love to listen to my students talk and share their learning experiences with me. What makes me proud is seeing their progress, celebrating their goals together and watch them thrive out there. We are people and individuals before we become teachers and learners, hence the importance of the human element: I believe we can grow together, create a bond and truly make a difference in someone's learning curve, regardless of their reasons for learning a language. Having taught students of different nationalities and age groups, and learners with different goals, I have put together a mixed teaching toolbox. The lesson structure may vary depending on the student's needs, however the main elements are always there. Grammar is the backbone of a language, although it doesn't have to be boring: it naturally comes out while the student practises active listening and speaking, through accessing materials tailored to their needs.
