Hi! 🙋
I'm Acelya (''A-chel-ya'' 😄), Turkish native speaker and an English Teacher with experience. I'm also an independent musician & artist 🎧ྀི. I do everything by myself to lyrics to mixing and mastering. 🎛️♬⋆.˚📝🎙
I have taught online English classes before to students in Poland, Italy, Korea and Turkey, mostly focusing on conversation skills. I have been to Korea and Poland as an exchange student in my university years as well 👩🏻🎓🛫. I have met people from various countries, and like exploring different cultures as I love learning about them and trying new cuisines🍱.
Currently, I'm learning Korean and very much interested in Korean culture from food to music. ✨
Ich als Lehrkraft
As a teacher it is important for me to get to know the students, to find what makes them motivated, what makes them participate or talk. I am very much interested in various topics, and quite talkative 🗪 as well as an open-minded listener 👂, as I also like to learn new things from students while I'm teaching. ✨
Certifications I have📜:
🌟TOEFL - C1 Level (English Proficiency)
🌟TEFL Certification - 120 Hours (Teaching English - Acquired in Poland Working with Teenagers)
🌟TOPIK - Level 4 (Korean Proficiency)
🌟Korean Language Proficiency Certificate - Intermediate B1 ( King Sejong Institute)
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
Both as a teacher and a student, I have observed and experienced that people tend to talk more, and feel relaxed when they are talking about their interests. They become more motivated, resulting in using more words that they might not even know that they learned such words. Therefore, it is important for me to get to know to students to find what makes them talk. This is why one of the first things I do is asking questions to students about their interests, hobbies, things they like that they can talk for hours. Once I understood/grasp their interests overall, I combine it with their goals and helping them learn a new language while talking about their interests, the things they like.
