Native Russian speaker, ad-man, script-writer.
For over two years, I've been living outside of Russia, in the city of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, one of the top destinations for digital nomads. Through daily interactions with people from around the world, I've significantly improved my English. Now I'm confident in teaching Russian language rules to anyone interested.
Hello, I'm Ivan, Vanya for short. I've always been closely tied to creating content in Russian. I'm passionate about music, travel, football, and history. I like writing screenplays and telling fun stories. I have a deep affection for the Russian language which I know inside out.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I hold a Russian-English translator’s degree from Moscow State University, although I have never worked as a translator. Instead, I have spent my entire career working with the Russian language as a copywriter, editor-in-chief and scriptwriter.
I know how to explain new material and be patient in teaching. Throughout my career, I've successfully coached several individuals to master Russian writing, leading to their publications in top magazines and websites. Now, as a part of an international project I'm tackling the tough challenge of teaching Russian to AI.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I have a deep understanding that language is a system, often composed of simpler elements that can be engagingly explored both in conversation and through examples from books, videos or favorite songs. This approach allows me to make learning enjoyable and effective.
So if you want to learn the basics, or make it to another level, or maybe dive into the world of the beautiful Russian poetry, or just chat - I can absolutely help you with that.
(By the way, my mom is a speech therapist so since I was a kid I know some secrets to teaching anyone to pronounce r-r-r-rolling Russian r-r).
