Another really helpful lesson with Kuriko helping me dig into the subtle nuances of a Japanese text I am reading. Today we encountered a number of unusual phrases, and Kuriko patiently explained every one until it clicked. She even took the time to look up a piece of slang she wasn't as familiar with to make sure what she told me was correct, which I particularly appreciated. Trying to unpick Japanese like that on my own can be really frustrating, but with Kuriko those points become the most fun! Kuriko makes it feel like solving puzzles with a friend, commiserating over confusing phrasing and suggesting reasons for those choices that made me laugh while deepening my understanding of the whole text. I have really enjoyed all my lessons with Kuriko so far, and learned a lot from each one. I feel like Kuriko is very adaptable, accommodating, and will put anyone at ease. She has also been very responsive in messages and generous with her time. I would recommend her to anyone.
