Shwmae! I’m Sion, a passionate Welsh tutor from Wales. I love helping people connect with the Welsh language, whether they’re complete beginners or looking to improve their fluency. I believe language learning should be fun, engaging, and tailored to your needs, so I focus on practical conversation skills and building confidence.
I have a background in teaching mindfulness and yoga, and I bring the same patient and encouraging approach to my language lessons. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me hiking in the mountains, playing music, or running yoga retreats. I have a deep passion for the Welsh language and have worked professionally with it in various capacities. I’ve worked with S4C, Wales’ national Welsh-language broadcaster, and have experience creating subtitles for Welsh-language TV, giving me a strong grasp of grammar, spelling, and natural spoken Welsh.
In addition to my professional work, I have experience teaching Welsh to both adults and children in informal settings, helping learners build confidence in speaking and understanding the language. I focus on conversational Welsh, using practical, real-life scenarios to make learning engaging and useful.
