Hej! I’m so happy you’ve found my profile! My name is Olov, and I’m a 31-year-old certified language teacher with over 1500+ hours of experience teaching online! I currently teach Swedish, but I also speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
I hold double degrees in International Politics and Social Analytics from the University of Örebro, and I have a background working for the Swedish UNHCR. While I’ve spent years in humanitarian work, I’ve always had a deep passion for languages — and today, I combine both worlds by helping others connect through Swedish!
Ich als Lehrkraft
I’m a grammar nerd at heart, I genuinely enjoy the mechanics of language, but I also know that too much grammar can make lessons feel dry. That’s why I focus on making our sessions feel comfortable, motivating, and fun, with a lot of talking! I fully adapt to each individual student and their unique learning style, but I also have a big library of tried-and-tested resources to support your progress. I truly believe that consistency is the key to learning a language. So my goal is to create lessons that are enjoyable, personal, and something you’ll look forward to. Because when you enjoy it, you’ll keep going — and when you keep going, you’ll learn!
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
My approach blends two core methods, which I adapt depending on your needs: A student-centered, constructivist approach, where your interests guide the lesson content. We use what you care about as a springboard into vocabulary, grammar, and fluency. The comprehensible input method, where I gradually introduce new vocabulary and grammar in ways that feel natural and never overwhelming.
I call it “sneaky teaching” — because while we’re chatting, laughing, or exploring topics you love, I’m also making sure the session is structured, with clear grammar points, targeted drills, and corrections for measurable progress! So we learn by doing in a very dynamic and fun way!
