Ibrahim Salman

Ustadh Ibrahim Salman is an excellent teacher! He provides both a great mix of listening, speaking and writing learning activities and a very practical, supportive learning environment. As a student, you feel pushed to learn and try out new competencies, and you are supported in doing so and gain valuable feedback that helps you to improve. He is very clear and concise. Doesn’t waste your time and always lectures with the intent to help you understand the material. He helped me understand many key concepts of the Arabic language, and he is patient and eager to help. I am especially excited about the current topics of the lessons, which nevertheless contain in-depth grammar of the Arabic language with the traditional Arabic terms and not with European terms. Recommending him is a no-brainer.

I have been having lessons with Ibrahim for over one and a half years now, and I think that speaks for itself. I began learning Egyptian Arabic from zero, and now we are about to finish the fourth book in the series (~B1 to B2). I have made great progress, and it has been easy since Ibrahim provides all the lesson materials, gives word lists per chapter, and has a collection of extra reading and listening resources as well. He has never missed a lesson, and he is also flexible with lesson scheduling. He lets you record the lesson which helps immensely, and he always provides all the needed grammar explanations in accordance with my level, accompanied with many examples. I hope I can soon visit Egypt to practice my skills!

I have been learning Egyptian Arabic with Ibrahim coming up to one year now, and I can confidently say that my speaking, reading and listening abilities have vastly improved with his teaching. Ibrahim uses a good variety of materials in his classes and is very good at keeping the dialogue going for a language learner to pick up new vocabulary and test out their abilities. Classes are also clearly structured for progression. I initially began with one lesson per week, however after quickly seeing the benefits of my lessons with Ibrahim I increased the frequency of our lessons and have definitely seen results.
