Hello my name is Daryl, I am a native English speaker from Scotland currently living in sunny Buenos Aires, Argentina.
For six years I was working within the supply chain of an international company in Europe however in 2019 I decided to travel the world and become an English teacher, completing both the CELTA and Cambridge - How to Teach IELTS courses.
My original goal was to spend 3 or 4 months in each South American country before heading to Asia, however something called the pandemic made Argentina the final destination of my trip!
In my free time I try to improve my Spanish and Portuguese, discover more of Argentina, go hiking and trekking, and do some reading when I can.Ich als Lehrkraft
I have completed the Cambridge CELTA course which has given me the skills and experience required to create personalised lesson plans for students in order to achieve their goals as efficiently as possible.
I have also completed the Cambridge - How to Teach IELTS course which has allowed me to develop lesson plans that will maximise student results in the IELTS exam.
Through utilising my experience in international supply chain and logistics I can help students hone their skills of English for the world of business.

I like to tailor lessons for each student specific to their needs therefore I like to start with an introductory lesson to learn about your goals and aspirations and then create personalised lessons based on what you would like to achieve.
I like to use all types of material, from textbooks and newspaper articles through to YouTube videos, role plays, and general discussions.
We will maximise student input and output throughout the lessons to ensure maximum results from each lesson.

Always a good class. We worked on vocabulary about logistics infrastructure, and discussed the differences between the private and public sector in Brazil (rail networks, automobile lobby etc). COVID-19 was a subject too, and today I told Daryl a bit about how was my experience in taking a COVID-19 test in a private clinic. Daryl was patient and supportive.
