Hi, my name is Jessica, I am a native English speaker from the United States, and I love working as an English tutor. I completed a 150 hour Master Teaching English as a Foreign Language Course, and I am a TEFL/TESOL Certified English Tutor. Over the years I have helped many students of various ages improve their English. My interest in becoming an English Tutor began ten years ago when I had the opportunity to spend time living in Belize Central America for a couple of years. During the time I spent outside the United States, I realized how important it was for English language learners to practice speaking with a native English speaker.Ich als Lehrkraft
The people I met around the world inspired me to develop my positive approach to helping students learn English, drawing from the knowledge and experience I gained traveling internationally, working in Global Business Communications, as well as working as a public-school ESL Tutor. I believe that practice, constructive feedback, and consistent motivation are critical elements in successfully learning English. I have helped many students improve their business English as well as prepare for job interviews, and learn specific English vocabulary for work assignments. When a student begins taking lessons with me, we first go through an English level placement test so that I can determine what their speaking level is. Once I find out if a student needs to focus on Business English or General English I then create a lesson plan with a specific topic for each lesson that also includes worksheets and sometimes audio or video. Each lesson plan covers the full range of English learner needs, including listening, role-plays, grammar, vocabulary, reading and discussing a variety of issues. While I always have a topic prepared, I am also flexible and can adapt the class to help students with specific English needs.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial
