My name is Yenan Li but you can call me Nicoletta in Italian. I’m a native Chinese speaker and my hometown is in north China. I have obtained my Level 2 (Grade A) National Mandarin Proficiency Certificate and thusly can speak fluent Mandarin with a standard Chinese accent. I can also speak fluent English and a little Italian. I have lived in Italy for one year, and I have also traveled around numerous countries due to my work. I now live in Shenzhen. Through these experiences within various cultures and languages, I have developed a dynamic and empathetic worldview. This helps me to understand the needs of foreigners looking to learn Chinese which I then impart into my teaching style.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I am currently working in a government department which means I regularly use standard business Chinese, something that I am comfortable and confident teaching to a full spectrum of Chinese abilities. Additionally, I'm familiar with technology companies' everyday language due to my previous work, making me an ideal tutor for someone looking to learn technological or native style conversational Chinese. I have a year’s teaching experience so far. Whether you are a beginner or at an advanced level, I cater to all learning abilities in a patient, caring, and friendly manner! I am heavily invested in all my student’s progress and hope to embark on your Chinese learning journey alongside you.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I love engaging with a variety of people, cultures, and backgrounds. My students thoroughly enjoy the more casual conversational style that I deliver, which creates a relaxed and comfortable learning environment regarding any topics that might interest you. If desired, I can prepare any current news items or hot topics to be discussed together. I can also provide a plethora of reading or video materials, targeted at your individual language needs to help you improve and engage you with the lesson. Furthermore, I will note down any small mistakes that you make which can be reviewed at the end of class in order to further personalize your learning.
