My name is Dionisis. I come from a beautiful Greek island called Cephalonia. I have a Bachelor's degree in Language Studies and I am a certified teacher of Greek as a second/foreign language.
Languages are a huge part of my life. I am fluent in 3 of them (Greek, English and Spanish), conversational in 3 more (Hebrew, Italian and French) and I am actively learning Turkish, Japanese, Arabic, Finnish and more...
I love music, which I also find to be a great language-learning and -teaching tool. Furthermore, I like reading, video games, TV, and movies (in various languages). I always enjoy meeting new people, getting acquainted with new languages and cultures and, of course, traveling!

Having been a language learner for many years, becoming a teacher felt like a natural next step. I know the challenges and struggles well, so I believe constant motivation and a steady pace are essential to language teaching.
I am well-versed in Greek grammar, as are most Greeks, since it is an integral part of the Greek school curriculum. And due to my linguistics background, I can tailor my explanations in an efficient and understandable manner, without necessarily getting too technical.
I think my best quality as a teacher is that I am always ready to adapt as much as possible to each student's needs and goals, so that I can make the lesson both appealing and beneficial to them.Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
My language classes are usually centered around a book. Most available book series are tailored according to levels A1-C2 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
However, a class may go, as it should, beyond the boundaries of book reviewing. Apart from my own personal notes and exercises, we may also work with material of "real language use", like songs, videos, podcasts or anything you might be interested in.
Students of 8 years or older, may also choose to sit the exams for the Greek Language Certification (Πιστοποίηση Επάρκειας της Ελληνομάθειας), levels A1-C2, for which there is also a wide range of preparation material.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial
