Let me tell you a little bit about me. I am from Somerset, which is in the south-west of England. It is a beautiful area, and I love walking, running, cycling and camping in the countryside when I am there. I also love spending time in different countries, and I have spent the past six months in India, studying yoga. Nature and looking after the environment is very important to me, and I enjoy working in gardens and growing vegetables. Finally, I really enjoy reading - actually, reading is one of my favourite things to do! Hopefully, we will have lots to talk about :)

I have over 10 years experience as a professional English teacher and have taught English at all levels, to both children and adults. I have also taught preparation courses for IELTS and Cambridge PET, KET, FCE & CAE. I have worked as a teacher in Oman, the UAE, Japan, Spain and the UK.
I'm an extremely patient teacher. I focus my teaching on getting my students to speak as much as possible and look to develop their fluency. However, I also incorporate grammar into my lessons to ensure that my students understand the grammar rules and feel confident when speaking. My lessons on italki will be conversation based. We will choose a topic, and using a variety of materials we will have a relaxed conversation. During the lesson, I will introduce new vocabulary, and we will explore grammar that comes up. I will tell you the most important mistakes that you make when speaking English, and I will help you to correct your errors. To support our discussion, I enjoy using pictures, stories, articles, video clips, TED talks, and even music. Depending on your needs, I also like to include pronunciation activities and games in our lessons.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial
