Hi! My name's Ant and I'm a native English speaker from England. As well as teaching and learning languages, I love singing, playing the guitar, reading, writing, travelling, and meeting new people. I have travelled all around Europe as a professional musician, and I hope to see every corner of the world someday... I have very varied teaching experience. Over the last 15 years I have taught English to refugees in Serbia, drama to teenagers in London, and guitar lessons to people of all ages. In addition to being a language teacher, I am also a language learner. I can speak fluently at C1 level in French, and I'm also currently learning Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Although I have taught English formally in the past, our community lessons will mainly follow a structure of 'active conversation'. I firmly believe that it is best to talk about subjects that already interest you, so that you can learn English that you will be able to use straight away. Once you start talking about things that interest you in English, you will soon begin thinking in English, and that is the surest path to fluency!
For beginners, we will focus on using the most common words and phrases, slowly adding more vocabulary and different tenses as you progress.
For more advanced learners, we can look in depth at the grammar, but as part of natural, flowing conversation.5.0
