Hi, I'm Tina and my Chinese name is Qianqian. I am studying in University of California, San Diego for my bachelor's degree. My major is Marine Biology. Whales, jellyfish and sea slugs are my favorite marine species. I also enjoy scuba diving. If you have a passion for ocean as well, don't hesitate to share your story with me. I also like singing, playing the piano and making dessert. I hope to have my own bakery shop in the future.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I started to learn Standard Mandarin when I was in primary school. I started from how to talk louder to pronounce every character correctly. To change the way I speak Chinese, I did a lot of exercises. When I got into middle school and high school, I became the announcer and MC in some big events. Recently, I took a Standard Mandarin Test and got 二甲 (er jia), which is required for being Chinese language teachers in China. I believe I can teach others Standard Mandarin well.
As for English, in order to study in the US, I studied English pretty hard in high school and got 114 in TOEFL test. I can help you practice English and also prepare for TOEFL.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
My class can be one to two hours. If you are beginner in Chinese, I would start with introducing Chinese to you. If you want to improve your Chinese, I will focus more on the exercise. As for people who want to learn TOEFL, we will have a talk at first and I'll make a plan for you to help you get a better grade. If you want to practice Spoken English, I'm happy to talk to you. Standard Chinese and TOEFL test class will have some homework if you are willing to have some.
Qianqian is very friendly and helpful, with an easy to understand accent. We just had a conversational lesson and she is a pleasure to talk to, keeps the conversation going well and naturally. I also appreciated that she kept the conversation in Chinese as I wanted, finding new ways to explain things to me in Chinese until I understood. (Although I'm sure she speaks English very well so if you are looking for an English speaking teacher then don't let this put you off). Overall great lesson and can really recommend her. Thanks Qianqian!
