Hello, I am a native German speaker and due to my studies in London, I am also fluent in English. I'm currently studying French on Italki which I enjoy a lot, but it also makes me aware of how difficult it can be to learn another language. I love to read a good book, work out and travel as much as possible whenever I can find time for it.

I have a very student-driven teaching style. That means you can let me know if you prefer conversational practice or need help preparing for a language exam. I want you to feel comfortable during our lessons, so I provide my students with the resources and support they need. I have a lot of patience, so don’t worry if you are a beginner. During our first lesson, I want to discuss your goals and see what level you are currently at. That helps me get an idea of what you expect from our lessons and how I can help you improve. I can prepare guided lessons if that makes my students feel more comfortable, but I‘m also happy just to have simple conversations (that helped me a lot to improve my French). After each lesson, I can give you an article to read, a video to watch or a podcast to listen to, so we have a subject to discuss in our next lesson. We can also go through mock exams or exercises to improve your grammar and vocabulary.5.0

I have only done a few lessons with Annalena, but I appreciate that she gives something to prepare the conversation with. I also really appreciate the time it takes for her to give feedback when I make mistakes. I find talking one on one is the absolute best way to improve my German.

I just love every second with Annalena. 50+ lessons! I've never had a better teacher. It's never boring. She is always helpful, encouraging, and never gets frustrated when I make the same mistakes over and over again. Lol

Another fun discussion with Annalina. I like the low pressure learning environment. She is able to discuss a variety of topics in a friendly tone and is able to explain things clearly. It's nice to get speaking once again. The video she chose was very interesting and easy to understand for my level. She always enters words into the chat for referencing later. Thanks again!
