My name is Irene García Núñez and right now I am 39. I come from Guadalajara, a town close to Madrid but live in beautiful Barcelona.
I understood very early that I like teaching Spanish and studied my masters of Linguistics applied to teaching Spanish as a foreign language to do so. I have lived in France, India, Germany and Russia teaching Spanish. During these 15 years teaching (and counting!) I learnt a lot about different methods, people and logics.

My role as a teacher is to guide, to provide useful resources and to walk with the student in the process of learning, being ahead of the problems or doubts they may have.
My main goal is for students to feel comfortable and safe and, of course, to make Spanish fun! I think motivation and good feelings are key when learning new languages. I myself have been a learner and know how it feels to be helpless and lost. But I also know how good it feels to see how you are improving!
I also speak English, French, German and Russian. I can explain in the student′ s mother tongue if necessary although my goal will be to speak Spanish from the very beginning. I follow mainly a communicative approach.Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

I use a variety of resources (textbooks, articles, small videos, audios...) to have different approaches to grammar, vocabulary, cultural topics, communicative situations...
I like introducing content in a logical and organized way, providing examples, exercises and homework so that what is to be learnt is doable. I adapt my classes to what students want and need so they make the most of their time and money.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial

Great lessons!
Engaging, with good interactive materials. I like the way Irene explains the topic, she explains the words in Spanish and if u don’t understand she will translate it in English, which is a great teaching method for remembering and understanding words. As a linguist myself, I have a very high standard for teachers and Irene meets them fully. She provides you with interesting homework activities after every class too for those who wants some extra activities.
