Shinnie is a very good teacher. He will make sure to do anything to make sure you improve and don’t regress. His strategies are very good and very simple which makes learning Korean very easy. He will always give you honest feedback unlike all other teachers that won’t give honest feedback and instead they lie to you and praise you even when you suck at Korean this is because they want your money however Shinnie doesn’t lie and praise you when you do bad he only praises you if you really are good. Over 4 Months of Learning with him I rarely got praised by him but when he praised me I knew I did well. Over 4 Months of learning with Shinnie my Korean improved a lot, now I could start talking basic conversation with Koreans easily previously before I took Shinnie’s class I couldn’t even talk a simple conversation even though I learned for 3 Months using YouTube. Using YouTube It took me 1 Month to learn Hangul which will only take you about 3 days or even one day if you have Shinnie.

I have been having lessons with Shinne for a year now. Shinnie is patient, respectful and passionate about his students learning. When I thought I wasn’t progressing he showed me how much I have learned and helped restore my confidence. Shinnie has taught me how to study successfully again using his proven methods and my self-confidence has grown. I know Shinnnie teaches people with ADHD, stuttering, mental illnesses, and disabilities as I have some of these conditions. However, he has never discriminated against me and has been truly dedicated to my Korean learning. I have tried learning with other Korean teachers who have given me false compliments which I did not find productive. Shinnie has helpfully pointed out attitudes or habits that have hindered my progress and he is always honest about my skills and goals. You can trust him and just follow his guidance—without overthinking or false delusions. Shinnie is an excellent, top rate teacher. If I can do it, you can too.

I’ve now completed about 20 lessons with Shinnie and my motivation is still going strong. I haven’t been this engaged with learning Korean since I first decided to start learning over a decade ago, and for years after that I’d been making only mediocre progress. With Shinnie’s help, at this rate I really believe my Korean skills will improve more this year alone than it has in the last 5+ years. Thank you Shinnie!

I came to Shinnie after struggling to find motivation and progress with self study. Every lesson feels like comfortably talking to a friend, yet he interjects new grammar patterns and vocabulary, as well as reinforcement of everything we learn, seamlessly. Shinnie's lessons are always enjoyable, productive, instructive and inspirational. His unique, tried and tested system of learning grammar and sentence construction has really helped to advance my learning and to guide me through what is undoubtedly a complex language to learn when you are British and only speak English (with a smattering of French). Shinnie has a way of pointing out where I am making mistakes but doing this constructively and in such a way that I understand clearly and can avoid similar errors in the future. Shinnie's concise and detailed teaching style helps me as I know what structure the lesson will take in advance and I can plan my studying around my full time work between each lesson. Did not know a trial lesson could be this useful. I learned more in 30 minutes than I did over a few months in Duolingo. Thanks a lot & I look forward to working with you!
