Hi, my name is Alexandru Popescu. I am from Bucharest, Romania but I've lived for quite a few years in Berlin, Germany, where I have come in contact with many people of various origins from across the world.
I've always had a curious nature, and I've enjoyed haning out with them and learning about their languages and cultures.

Hi,
I've always been passionate about learning foreign languages. As mentioned in my video I learned almost entirely by myself, among other English and German.
This has helped me recognize certain patterns that occur when learning a language, and I think that leveraging that can help any language lerner a lot.

1. I think that communication between the student and the teacher is very important. So there is a need for a base language that both speak well, in order for concepts in the target language to be explained correctly and also to solidify the student-teacher relatuonship
2. Noticing and reinforcing certain patters that appear in language learning, eg: certain connecting words, that appear often, connecting certain word forms that share similarities based on logic, instead of just simply trying to memorize them
3. Making use of texts and materials in a way to create an easy way for the student to come in contact with vocabulary and use it in an interactive way, to help learn new words easierMein Unterrichtsmaterial

I think we had a very good first lesson. The teacher was very well prepared, having corrected a paragraph I had previously sent to him. He provided a detailed explanation as to how I can improve my writing. We reviewed material he provided that was very helpful to promote discussions. More importantly, I felt very comfortable talking with him. Alexandru was very patient with me and he seems to understand what kind of help I need to improve my language skills. I am looking forward to our next lesson.
