I was born in Brazil, but since 2015 I've moved to Sydney, Australia. I'm married to an Australian who is very dedicated to help me improve my English language skills. I work as a Civil Engineer and I also volunteer as a Well-being Teacher for Teens on the weekends. Since I've gotten married I've being teaching Brazilian Portuguese Language to my husband and this experience has grown on me a desire of becoming a language teacher for adults. I enjoy learning English and I enjoy even more teaching Brazilian Portuguese, my home language. It's amazing being able to participate in someone's learning path seeing the gradual improvement. Leaning a language is a great privilege.

Ich als Lehrkraft

I'm very enthusiastic when the topic is learning a language. My focus as a teacher will be to enhance conversation skills and assist the student with grammar, structure sentence, pronunciation, oral fluency and vocabulary. I'm aiming to enable students to communicate with confidence. The level of confidence that can only be achieved with accumulated conversation time. I'm keen to teach Brazilian Portuguese to any nationality of student, where Portuguese may be the only language of communication.

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

I found it easier to learn English through a relaxing and casual manner, instead of having the pressure of learning through roles and heavy books. When you have the opportunity to spend time talking to a native about many different topics you will notice the way that a native speaks, pronounce words, structure sentences and their vocabulary. The learner then starts to incorporate and embrace these attributes into their learning. We acknowledge that there are different forms of learning and everyone is different, I am very adaptive. If you believe that's the way you will better achieve your goals it will be my pleasure to be part of this journey with you.
