I studied Foreign languages and Literature up to my Master's Degree at the university and I have been teaching French & Igbo languages for more than ten years now. I enjoy teaching, discussing and meeting with people from different cultural backgrounds. I believe that one's language is his or her identity. For that reason, I believe that people should uphold their native languages. I have observed that the Igbo language is on the verge of becoming one of the endangered languages in the world. This is the major motive behind my volunteering to teach Igbo which is my native language. Teaching French has been my passionate career ever since I left school over 12 years now.Ich als Lehrkraft
I am a French language teacher by profession in a public higher institution. Before then I have taught French in primary and secondary schools. I have also been teaching executive language classes (both Igbo and French) to professionals for different purposes such as business, tourism, mastery of communication skills, etc. I also teach children customized lessons. I am a very jovial person and I make my classes very interactive because I like interacting with people. With me as your teacher, you must speak the language within a very short time because I will make you speak in order to learn even if you are an introvert.Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
My lessons are loaded with different activities from reading, writing, singing and playing games. I also use audiovisuals to help the learner develop competence in oral comprehension. The learner is also exposed to authentic documents in the language (Igbo or French) and culture. This is done through the use of media or movies and other Igbo/French based media. This will afford the learner the opportunity to learn Igbo/French as it is spoken in the language community be it for business or for social activities.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial

Madame Dorothy is an excellent teacher! She is very patient and helps encourage you to improve your language skills. She is also very professional and has prepared materials for every class. I look forward to coming to every class, and I expect to reach the fluency level I desire with her help!

She takes things at my pace and gets me to repeat words until i have 100% accuracy with pronounciation
