Kiny

As someone who has an intermediate command of Mandarin, it was important to me to find a Cantonese teacher who is also proficient in Mandarin to put vocabulary into context and show similarities and differences between the two languages. Studying Cantonese with Kiny is a great pleasure, I appreciate the exposure to her spoken Cantonese, making each lesson very rewarding as a language learner. Kiny is always very well prepared, perfectly organised and provides a clear structure for her lessons. She is patient, supportive and in short: an excellent companion if you want to start with Cantonese or take your language skills to a next level!

Kiny is an amazing teacher! She is so patient and kind. One of my favourite aspects of the class is that Kiny teaches me the academic/formal language but also teaches me about the colloquial alternatives or spoken forms, ensuring I am better able to communicate with native Mandarin speakers. I always have a great time in my classes!
