I am interested in history, literature, sports and the Beatles among other things. If you already speak some Swedish these could be subjects to talk about during the lessons. I also play guitar and I like the outdoors. I am not very keen on cooking, but I like to bake.Ich als Lehrkraft

I have been teaching Swedish for a couple of years and I have a good idea which words are important if you want to be able to communicate with people in real life.
I have had students that hardly knew the alphabet when I started to teach them and I have had students that already spoke quite good Swedish when I met them. I am flexible as a teacher and I try to adapt my teaching to what my students need.Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I think it is important to practise talking during the lessons, but I also think it is important to have a subject to talk about so there is some structure to the conversation.. For example I could write a short story where I introduce a few new words. We read the story together and then we talk about it. I use Skype when I am teaching. I never learnt a language with such an organised person who is always well prepared for every spontaneous demand and situation. I am very ambitious and very spontaneous, but this doesn't seem a problem at all. Thank you so much, Joakim, for your patience and flexibility ! It's awesome !!! :)

As a shy person it was not a very comfortable environment to learn in. The teaching material was also not true to real life situations.
