Sofia

Sofia is a gem of a teacher! I am genuinely so excited to have lessons with her each week! I am speaking so much more Greek as a result. With many mistakes, of course, but always corrected with a smile! My goal is to banish my shyness in speaking and be able to speak more to my great aunt in Athens when we visit her for Easter holidays. Sofia is absolutely helping me with this!

Sophia is very accommodating and she really took the time to tailor future lessons to my goals, interests, and pace. Really appreciated this. She clearly has a love for the Greek language, philosophy, and literature. Looking forward to exploring the Ancient Greek language with Sophia!

I’ve been doing lessons with Sofia since March 2024. Sofia is incredibly patient and caring while I’ve been learning Greek. Sofia and I have bonded over our Greek upbringings and had many laughs while storytelling. Sofia provides me with the necessary materials and resources in order to improve my Greek on a weekly basis. I’m very happy with my choice in choosing Sofia as my Greek tutor. I look forward to my weekly sessions and have seen my Greek improve in such a short amount of time!

Hi, this is my first writing a proper review of someone I've had a lesson with on Italki. First of all, I am learning in Ministry & Theology Ancient Greek, and I decided to start early on my learning journey of Greek. I went with Sofia because she is diverse in Ancient Greek, and she is a native Greek speaker. She has been very supportive and is knowledgable about Ancient Greek, which has encouraged me to learn more in my lessons about the New Testament. Overall I would recommend Sofia to anyone who is interested in learning more about Ancient Greek to read the New Testament. 10/10 ✌🏻
