My name is Glory Henry Kimonge, born on November 21, 1989, in Arusha, Tanzania. I studied Wildlife Management and Tourism for three years and have worked in the tourism industry since 2015 as a tour guide and tour operator. My experience has allowed me to teach Swahili to tourists, friends, interns, and volunteers, which I truly enjoy. As a guide, I also share knowledge on environmental conservation and wildlife behavior.
Ich als Lehrkraft
I have strong skills in teaching and can help learners speak, write, and understand Swahili conversations. Sharing knowledge is a joy for me, and I am dedicated to helping students grasp new concepts. With confidence and experience in my field, I’m able to convey lessons effectively. I am humble and listen closely to students to understand their needs, making it easier to identify areas where they need the most assistance. I also value learning alongside my students and respect their ideas and opinions.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I offer tailored lessons based on each student’s needs, whether they are beginners, intermediate, or advanced learners. Lessons can cover a range of topics, including self-introductions, counting numbers, using personal pronouns, forming sentences with various tenses, pronunciation, telling time in Swahili, and other practical subjects.
I typically use Skype, Google Meet, or Zoom, but I'm flexible to use any platform that’s convenient for the student. I also use Google Drive to share resources. Students have the opportunity to ask questions, receive answers, and practice what they've learned directly with me.
