My name is Mickey Cloete and I am a husband and father of two beautiful children. My son is autistic and he has taught me the value of patience and a fun learning environment when teaching new skills.
I have travelled extensively when I was younger and my aim is to do a lot more traveling in future with my family. For now we are exploring the less-travelled corners of our own beautiful South Africa. Wherever I do go though, you will always find me with a book in my hand as I love reading. My hobbies include responsible off-roading with conservation as aim, as well as automotive art.
Meine Kreationen
Ich als Lehrkraft
Initially with a new student I would start off with general conversation in order to gauge your specific needs. Once we have determined those needs, with both your own and my input in the discussions I will progress to more structured lesson plans.
I am patient, helpful and friendly with a wicked sense of humour...
I am not overly sensitive to criticism from students, which makes it a lot easier for students to be comfortable in indicating their personal requirements for learning from me – in fact I aim to learn as much from my students as they learn from me.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
My aim is to get you to be confident in the use of your new language. It is much easier to absorb the finer structures of a language when you are comfortable in your own usage of the language.
The most effective way to learn a new language is to be immersed in that language and to actively participate in the use thereof, no matter your initial skill level. Therefor we will at first spend a lot of time in simple conversation on fun topics in the target language, with you as student doing most of the talking while I guide and facilitate your use of the language. As we progress I will introduce more formally structured lessons according to your individual need.
