Hello,
my name is Mirjam. I am a German living in Japan. I speak four languages. Three fluent (Japanese, German, English) and one on a basic level (Turkish). Besides my love for learning new languages I enjoy going to Museums or Arts and Craft Markets/shows.
Meine Kreationen
Ich als Lehrkraft
I believe in positive encouragement rather than harsh and strict learning methods! Language is a beautiful tool to speak to different people all over the world. Therefore it should be fun. If you enjoy doing something it is most likely that you will stick to the habit of practicing it. I just experienced it myself. When I learned Japanese I had a very kind teacher and thanks to his funny and encouraging teaching I fell in love with the language. Now, a few years later, I am fluent in Japanese.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
I believe in learning by speaking because it is the most natural way of learning a language. Little children learn the same way. Learning organically means learning a "natural" and contemporary German and not a language that is written in a textbook which might be outdated.
Regarding my classes:
First, we will set a goal and then work together towards it.
After learning some basic vocabulary we will slowly build up your vocabulary by speaking about different topics you are interested in. As I said before: I believe in learning a language the fun way.
From time to time I will also give you some PDFs for revision.
