There's teaching, and then there's ✨teaching✨ — Subin 선생님's classes help you learn that distinction in real time 😄 선생님 makes learning Korean fun, engaging, and interactive! That's low-key the secret sauce of teaching~ and, to be honest, it's really hard to do well. That's why I appreciate our classes. 선생님 facilitates a classroom that feels superrrrrrrrrr (ten Rs!) welcoming and open, and where I feel comfortable making mistakes (because I know 선생님 will give me the appropriate feedback) and asking literally ANY question (because 선생님 will always give it to me straight). 😊 It could be because 선생님 knows the struggles of learning several languages not her own—and there's a real humility that comes from the hustle and grind of memorizing vocabulary, learning grammar rules, and communicating what you want to say in a way that people will understand. There ain't no shortcuts to this language stuff, but there is a lot of room for creativity. 선생님 always reminds me of this. Thank you, 선생님 🤓

She is the QUEEN of Italki^^ I am beyond grateful to have such an amazing teacher who truly goes above and beyond in helping me grow. One of the standout qualities of this teacher is her keen ability to identify my weaknesses almost instantly and thoughtfully tailor lessons and provides targeted material to help me overcome those specific challenges. Subin was an incredibly attentive and engaging teacher. I took a lesson while having some previous Korean experience and she was quickly able to adapt the lesson to match my level. I was able to learn phrases and grammar that I haven't seen during my year of studying. I left the lesson feeling more encouraged about my Korean skills and want to keep improving.

The lesson moves along so naturally, and she finds a way to incorporate grammar that I’m struggling with into our conversations. Amazing teacher! She really encourages you to speak korean and make sentences by yourself. uses her own materials for class, not just cite from a book. she's also very fluent in english, so i would also recommend beginners to book a class here! just loved it, 10/10!
