Hello, my name is Emma :-)
I am 27 years old and I am English and French. I grew up in Paris but I studied my bachelor in International Studies in the Netherlands. Subsequently, I went on to do my Master degree in La Sorbonne in Paris. Additionally I got my TEFL teaching certificate. I have been for the past 3 years travelling around the world and teaching online. I especially loved Latin America and Brazil where I worked as a volunteer in a hostel. I also love music, yoga and running which I try to do on a daily basis.

I have now been teaching for more than 2 years on Italki. I am very enthusiastic and I love meeting new people. I am a great listener and love to have passionate and debated discussions. I grew up in a bilingual household and I have myself learned several languages and therefore I know how hard it can be. This is why I truly believe that the more you speak and listen to a language the better you get. My lessons are conversational based and really tailored to your needs. I think the best way to learn a language is to speak it! We can talk about a number of topics that interest you and I will guide you through the lesson. I will correct you when needed and provide additional material and specific grammatical lessons if I see you are making recurrent mistakes. I also offer fun and interactive French and English classes to kids.
I want to leave you as much freedom as possible. I will try and help you build confidence as I think this is crucial for you to want to speak.Mein Unterrichtsmaterial

Emma creates a wonderful environment for learning. She is great at being positive and energetic about the topic she is teaching to encourage my young daughter to fully engage. She is great at redirecting focus as my young learner becomes more adept at online learning. She is very encouraging as my daughter learns to both listen and speak more in French.
