I have over 8 years of experiences in teaching and tutoring children and adults of all levels, from beginner to advanced.in language schools and as a private tutor.
I have been preparing students to sit for HSK exams during the last 4 years.

My lessons are flexible and tailored to the individual.
For more advanced students who are going to be living or studying in China , this may be primarily through conversation practice and active role play scenarios, whereas for less experienced students I may use books or sheets to teach basic grammars, or perhaps pronunciation exercises and article reading sessions.
For children I use various materials, including textbooks,songs, games, slideshows, videos, worksheets and storybooks to enhance learning.

Tara is an excellent tutor. My teenager daughter (even she isn't an easy going person, to say the truth) respects her, enjoys the lessons with Tara and she doesn't try to find reasons to escape!

I have been with this teacher for many lessons now, and she does not disappoint. When I am doing well, we go quickly, when I am slow to catch on, we slow down and make sure to cover what I struggle with. Additionally, she will share cultural points of China when the opportunity arises! Very good teacher, very effective!

I wholeheartedly recommend Teacher Tara. She is not just experienced, kind, encouraging and well-prepared, but also fits each lesson to the student's level and needs. She can slow down/speed up/try a different approach during the lesson to help the student better understand, which is a true sign of a capable and empathetic teacher. My daughter loves to have lessons with Teacher Tara!
