Nara * B1-C1

I’ve been taking lessons with Nara since 2021, nearly every week. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher; she is kind, patient, and funny, all while helping me to improve my Japanese skills leagues more than I could ever do on my own. Whether it’s JLPT prep, reading practice, or free conversation, Nara is there with helpful advice and a smile. Taking her classes is, without a doubt, one of the best choices I’ve ever made! これからもよろしくお願いします！

I love lessons with 奈良さん! They are fun-filled conversations where I am always fully engaged. Not only am I getting lots of speaking practice in, as I recount my experiences to 奈良さん and she in turn asks me thoughtful questions about them, I am also able to reflect upon and take stock of the things that I have done in a given week. This isn't always possible with my hectic schedule, so I appreciate the opportunity to pause and reflect (in Japanese!) with 奈良さん :) The vocabulary sheets she sends with definitions and even pictures to help me internalise the new words that came up organically during our conversations are also super helpful. Thankful for another fruitful year of learning Japanese with 奈良さん!

I have been taking lessons with Nara for a few months now. Currently, we are brushing up on some N3 material before beginning preparation for the N2 next December. Nara is extremely hard working. Her teaching doesn't stop when the lesson does. She always gives homework and provides feedback on not only mistakes but where you could sound more natural. Sometimes, she'll even throw in some additional resources. Every lesson, she is positive, friendly, and conversational but does a good job of keeping the lesson on course and makes sure we are tracking towards the day's objectives. I would highly recommend Nara. Especially if you are seriously prepping for the N3/N2!

I so love lessons with 奈良さん! Our consistent conversation practice really came to fruition during my recent trip to Japan, where I went back to visit my Japanese host family from my university days. Despite not having actively studying new grammar and vocab since then (work takes up too much time…), they commented that my Japanese has improved and sounded more natural! I was quite surprised to hear that but can really only attribute that to my enjoyable weekly conversations with 奈良さん :-) I made other meaningful connections during my trip as well, thanks to the speaking abilities that have been honed by the best teacher.

I really liked my lesson with Nara-sensei. She is a very kind and supportive, her teaching style is amazing and learning materials are very interesting. I believe I am very lucky to finally find such a wonderful teacher 🌸🌿
