Hi! I'm Parul and I'm an Indian. I'm a native Hindi and Punjabi speaker and I'm proficient in English. Through my teaching experience, I have developed the ability to understand the needs and grasping capabilities of various students. My focus during teaching is towards student's success. My hobbies are teaching, reading, singing, dancing and sketching.
Ich als Lehrkraft
It has been 7.5 years since I am teaching the 4th most-spoken language (Hindi) in the world to students from all over the globe and at different proficiency levels. And yes, "𝗔𝗕𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗧𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗦" too i.e. for children above 5 years!
I am not only a teacher of Hindi, but I also teach English and Punjabi and have already taught students from almost all the continents.
Being born and brought up in Punjab, India, I have over 25 years of experience in conversing in Punjabi and therefore have learnt the same in my academics as well.
Prior to Covid-19, I was taking tuition classes in offline mode. Since Covid-19, I have started taking classes on various Online platforms.
Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil
1) For those looking to speak only, I teach both conversational Hindi and Punjabi using English or Hindi Alphabets/Sentences. This is effective since Hindi and Punjabi both are phonetic languages and eliminate the need to learn a new script.
2) For those looking to read and write as well, I teach Hindi/Punjabi using Devanagari/Gurmukhi scripts
3) For those looking to understand the finer nuances of Hindi/Punjabi, I teach advanced Hindi/Punjabi Grammar. This is more suited to academic purposes or writing Research papers.
4) For those looking to get the feels of Indian culture, I teach Hindi songs & rhymes, and Sanskrit Shlokas & mantras too. To be frank, I usually sing Hindi/Punjabi songs.
I have been learning from Parul for 3 months (I am 2 years into my hindi journey) and I definitely recommend her. She is very easy to speak with and keeps me engaged and learning. Thank you Parul!

Parul is the best Hindi teacher on italki, hands down! If you're looking for a Hindi teacher, you don't have to look further. She explains the grammar really well and also incorporates vocabulary into the grammar so you can learn vocabulary in a natural way instead of memorizing a long list of words. I also cannot stress this enough: she is very patient when making mistakes. She corrects me many times and explains why what I said was incorrect. The conversations we have to practice Hindi are also very natural and they never feel forced.

I had the pleasure of taking a trial lesson with Parul, who was extremely nice and attentive. She was willing to accommodate my special request to focus on conversation and advanced grammar, as I already have general Hindi speaking skills. I look forward to continuing my practice with her, which looks promising!

Parul is such an excellent teacher and conversationalist. I find that the hour flies by! And she calmly draws me into conversation, instead of making me feel insecure about my mistakes. Would recommend!
