Hello! My name is Makoto! It is very nice to meet you. A little bit about myself, I am originally from Osaka, Japan, but I went to the United States for university and studied Theater Arts. I am friendly, fun-loving and patient so please do not worry about making mistakes as that is a part of learning! I also believe learning a new language can be so much fun so I am very excited to learn with you. I would be more than happy to do various lessons based on your goals, needs and interest. For example, we can focus on conversational skills and phrases to pronunciation.

Ich als Lehrkraft

Ever since I got back from the States, I have been teaching English to Japanese people both in-person and online. I always try to make the learning as fun, painless and productive as possible as a teacher. I myself learned English from zero so I totally understand how challenging (and fun) it can be to learn a new language. However, talking from my experience, by being able to speak English made my world much bigger. I am very passionate about education in general!

Meine Stunden und mein Unterrichtsstil

I would like to do a lot of conversation practice and pronunciation practice through free talk. I would be happy to teach you phrasing etc. as well. I offer lesson on my dialect(Kansai dialect) too! I am sure that being able to carry a smooth conversation will be a great asset for you! Since I speak both English and Japanese, I can assist Japanese people in Japanese when teaching them English and vice versa. Please let me know what you prefer! I am looking forward to it!
