My name is Hiromi from Okinawa Island, Japan. I was born in the beautiful city of Kanazawa and I also lived in Tokyo, Yokohama and Nara. I have a master's degree in sociology and have been a counselor and a communication trainer for the last 30 years. I also have written and translated several books and articles about family, gender, etc. I attended many conferences in Japan and other countries, in which I learnt a lot of things to empower women and girls. Firstly, Hiromi sensei was really interesting to talk with as she has lived in different areas of Japan and is a very creative person.
In our first session we had a relaxed conversation followed by reviewing some content, Hiromi sensei was able to review the content I had shared ahead of class and suggest content with a more appropriate reading level.

We took turns reading our loud and discussed grammar points and kanji from text.
I had the opportunity to make up sentences from based on the grammar points we discussed.
I enjoyed today’s class.
