Diego Grillo Trubba

I have been taking classes with Diego for over a year and he’s helped me grow in my Spanish language learning and continues to work with me to help me build my confidence. His classes are structured around his lesson plans, but he is flexible and leaves room for conversations and practice. He also caters to the context I am learning Spanish in and makes learning fun - he has a fun sense of humor as well as videos that he shares on various topics to continue practicing outside of class. I can’t recommend Diego highly enough- he’s a a really excellent teacher! 🙂

Diego has been my Spanish teacher for over a year now. After our first conversation I already knew he was the right teacher for me. Not only is he a very structured and skilled teacher, but studying with him is also fun. I was amazed by how much my Spanish improved after only two months of studying with him. You can see that he does not stubbornly go through a curriculum but adapts to the needs and abilities of each of his students. Our lessons normally start with a little chat and because Diego is knowledgeable about many interesting topics, the conversation never runs out. Afterwards the current grammar topic is introduced by means of exercises, examples or explanations. Depending on the subject and my needs there are also homework assignments that are always very creative and fun. I am looking forward to going to Argentina and visiting Diego in Buenos Aires because he’s not only a great teacher but also a very nice and fun person. :) Muchas gracias!

I am studying Spanish from scratch with Diego for more than nine months and I can confirm, it was one of the best decisons I could take. Firstly and most importantly, Diego is certainly the character you want to meet on regular basis: friendly, supportive, intelligent and entertaining with tons of knowledge, stories and experiences to share with his students. Secondly and equally importantly, Diego is well structured teacher helping you building your own competencies and confidence after little steps. After few weeks you realize you are suddenly capable to speak and after few more you are again equipped to express yourself better and it continues like that further and further. His apporoach is smart one: he introduces a new phenomenon, student tries to use it in some limited situations, and then continues with other already known stuff. Then, in some time, we return back to that phenomenon, we repeat it and start using it in wider context.

I always learn SO much, more than from any other teacher!
