I have been teaching Chinese in various settings since 2015, including in-person and online classes in China, the US, and Russia. I faced difficulties learning languages. I still do, actually. Language is primarily a tool of communication. Its purpose is to exchange information. I believe reading articles of your level (or slightly higher) is a much more efficient way to come across phrases and words in context. Context is everything!
