Sombra
* Shade – Este árbol da una buena sombra. ~ This tree gives a good shade.
* Shadow – Una persona alta tiene una sombra larga. ~ A tall person has a long shadow.
Hacer
* To make – El profesor hace los deberes para sus estudiantes. ~ The teacher makes homework for his students.
* To do – El estudiante hace la tarea. ~ The student does his homework.
Cita
* Date – María tiene una cita con Juan el viernes por la noche. ~ Mary has a date with John on Friday night
* Appointment – Tengo una cita con el doctor. ~ I have an appointment with the doctor.
Cielo
* Sky – Las estrellas brillan en el cielo. ~ The stars shine in the sky.
* Heaven – Para ir al cielo, tienes que ser buen cristiano. ~ To go to heaven, you have to be a good Christian.
Cerca
* Close – Cerca de mi casa hay un parquet. ~ Close to my house, there is a park. Near my house, there is a park.
* Near – Cuando lo vi, estaba cerca de la muerte. ~ When she saw him, he was near to death.
Bajo. Baja
* Short – Juan es muy bajo para su edad. ~ John is very short for his age.
* Low – La música está muy baja, no puedo oír nada. ~ The music is very low, I cannot hear nothing.
Alto. Alta

Tarde

Hay (Haber verb)
* There is – Hay un perro en la puerta. ~ There is a dog at the door.
* There are – Hay unos perros en la puerta. - There are some dogs at the door
Hoja
* Leaf – La hoja del árbol es de un haya. ~ The leaf of the tree is from a beech.
* Sheet – La hoja de papel es blanca. ~The paper sheet is white.
Poco. Pocos.
* Little – María tiene poco trabajo. ~ Maria has little work.
* Few – Nosotros tenemos pocos amigos. ~ We have few friends.
Tampoco
* Either – Yo no tengo hambre y ella tampoco tiene hambre. ~ I'm not hungry and she's not either.
* Neither – Yo no bebo café por la noche. - Yo tampoco. ~ I don't drink coffee in the evening.' – `Neither do I.'
Prestar (Verb)
* Borrow – ¿Me prestas tu coche?~ Could I borrow your car?
* Lend – Yo no te presto mi coche. ~ I do not lend you my car.
Cerca
* Near – Cerca de mi casa hay una farmacia. ~ There is a pharmacy near my house.
* Fence – Mi casa está rodeada por una cerca. ~ My house is surrounded by a fence.
Casi
* Almost – La cena esta casi lista. ~ Dinner is almost ready.
* Nearly – Creo que estamos casi llegando al aeropuerto de Madrid.~ I think we are nearly arriving at Madrid Airport.

Como
* As – Mi hermano trabaja como abogado. ~ My brother works as a lawyer.
* Like – Estoy cansado como tú. ~ I am tired like you.
* I eat – Yo como todos los días a la 1 pm. ~ I eat every day at 1 pm.
Entre
* Between – Estoy sentado entre dos jóvenes. ~ I am sitting between two young people.
* Among – Entre todos los estudiantes tú eres el mejo. ~ Among all the students you are the best.
* Amid – Marta sufrió mucho entre el caos producido por el terremoto. ~ Marta suffered greatly amid the chaos produced by the earthquake.
