The baby welcoming tradition in my country is a party for baby

I just recently made an italki account so that I could use the community part of the website to practice my Japanese. I thought it would be so much more active considering how useful the correcting feature is which I haven’t seen anywhere else, and on the video that I found out about the community tab from (from a couple of years ago), it seemed that people’s exercises were corrected very quickly. Why do you think it is that italki’s community isn’t so active? I think it’s a real shame as this is a wonderful tool and if just more people used it, its impact on language learning would be immense.

It's sunny today. We visited a nearby island, which is technically a peninsula. There's a famous aquarium on the island with a great dolphin show. However, the entrance fee was so expensive that I went significantly over budget. On our way back, I saw some street artists on a scenic bridge in the city center. It inspired me! If I performed there, people might toss me coins too. So, without hesitation, I did my most confident song, Lemon Tree, right at the halfway of that bridge. Unfortunately, I only attracted two audience members besides my parents, and one of them wasn't even paying attention. Of course, I didn't receive any coins. Then thinking back, I realized why. I don't play an instrument, so I don't have a guitar case to collect coins. People can’t just toss coins at my face! This is vital for making incomes as a street performer. I am so learning guitar!

He is joining a Japanese language class. 2) We had a video call yesterday. It is nice without the time difference to make our appointments. 3) I'll send him tomorrow a book about Japanese culture. It is written in English and Japanese. It will be helpful for him. 4) He told me that he may go to the Disneyland when his old school mate comes to Tokyo. She is Japanese but lives away from Tokyo. 5) He said me where he is staying in Tokyo, the city name, but I'm really not good at about Tokyo. I certainly know Germany and Austria better than Tokyo.

Though I didn't face any culture shocks yet, I really know some culture shocks which are very common in other countries , but can be thought very rude in some foreigners' mind. For example, if one is burping on a feast, others might think that they are offended, but the Mongolian people think that it represents they are full and satisified of the food. It sounds interesting! In China, people often sit around a table for dinner, they like to talk about anything. Sometimes, it sounds a little bit noisy for others, but nobody cares about it. As for the men live in Scotland, kilts are very regular clothes, but it is very awkward for foreigners. I was once curious about what they wore under the kilts. So, the world is full of diversities which also form a interesting, fantastic and marvelous home. We need to treat each other like brothers, and don't always focus on their differences. So, if you face a big culture shock next time, just join them and enjoy it!

Discipline is absolutely something to me but I can see I am a fighter now. I try and give up, then try again and give up again for thousand times. Nevertherless, I don't ever think about giving up forever. I must say thanks to myself because I could see some progress on the way of striving. Being patient with myself is the only choice.
