This lesson style is perfect for adult learners who can already speak good English and would like to practice speaking, listening and conversation skills, and maybe even learn some new vocabulary!

Conversation lessons are interactive, often topic-based and fun! This type of class is perfect for adult learners who wish to learn some useful new vocabulary or expressions, while practicing speaking and listening skills. During the class I will suggest alternative vocabulary or expressions that might be more commonly used in spoken English, which will help you feel and sound more natural when speaking. 

The aim of these lessons is to make you feel more comfortable and confident when speaking English, and I will also provide feedback on vocabulary and pronunciation.

During the lesson, we will focus on conversational skills (speaking & listening), grammar and vocabulary. We can work from any textbooks you are already using in your studies; or I can provide textbook materials. I also provide reading, listening and visual materials to work from.

These lessons are also suitable for students preparing for English language exams, such as IELTS; or for school and university interviews.

Learn English with Pip

As a professional language and communications teacher I coach many students for job interviews and presentations, and how to communicate successfully in an English-speaking environment. Maybe you are working in an international company, or with clients from overseas and need to communicate in the global language of English to do your job effectively. This type of lesson is perfect for you!

I have a business background, having worked in communications and journalism in London over a 20-year-period. I have years of managerial experience, as well as experience interviewing potential employees at all levels. In Business English lessons I bring together all aspects of my past experience to help you succeed using English in your job. 

In our Business English lessons we will discuss business cases, marketing and general workplace topics. I have worked with lots of different professions - from scientists, professors and bankers, to developers, lawyers and engineers - so I will adjust the topics based on your profession and experience.
